A boy (Senni) and a girl (Suzan) sit down and learn how to play Go, the classic Japanese board game. As they start playing, they read the rules aloud to each other, in Swiss German dialect. I film them with a video 8 camera, sitting on a chair. Another camera standing on a tripod, films the three of us.
The final cut is an edit of the two cameras tapes. During one hour, you watch these two people learn and play Go, fight and laugh as they struggle with the deceptive simplicity of the game. Whether you understand Swiss German or not, and that you know the rules of Go or not, your viewing experience will be very different.
