In diverse public spaces, defined by their specific urban architecture with a precise function like subway stations in Hamburg or the ONU neighbourhood in Geneva, we study peoples' behaviour and their use of such places.

In Hamburg we chose several subway sations because of their reputation of having a high level of criminal activity. Late nights we filmed these deserted stations with a fixed video camera in which we produced a series of short actions reflecting on the type of behaviour considered to be acceptable in such places. Long sequences emphasizing the atmosphere of the station; technical or human sounds, silences and the architecture, nothing happens, apart from our discreet happenings. The video tape is edited in a surveillance camera style, shifting every second minute to another station.
