Invited to "exhibit" in the art magazine Pist Protta with three drawings, I decided to "draw" a series concerning a public residence for the elderly in Aalborg, Denmark. Taking as an example the story of one woman resident, my aim was to question the services of a welfare state. It's a very complex topic which I tried to reduce to the scale of a few drawings.

The list of major events in a resident's personal history informs the reader that at the age of 83, she moved to the home shortly after a major heart operation. The schedule organizing her daily routine shows her only contact with other people to be the brief visits from the home's staff, and, every two weeks, visits from her nurse and her hairdresser. The other drawings display houses, architectural maps of the site, statistics of life expectancy in Denmark, the official description of the residence in question, and the city map of Aalborg, which indicates the emplacement of the site - between two highways - within the city's overall urban structure.
